Bones, joints and muscles get a workout in everyday life. When they break, sprain or become painful, it may be time to see an orthopaedic specialist. The medical team at Tucson Orthopaedic Institute includes skilled, experienced orthopaedic surgeons and non-surgical orthopaedic specialists in preventive/occupational medicine and physical medicine and rehabilitation, and podiatry. The team works together to address each person’s concerns individually and expertly.

To arrange a consultation with an orthopaedic specialist, or to be seen by the Institute’s Same Day Fracture Clinic, please call one of our three convenient offices.

Long-standing conditions, non-urgent surgery candidates and simple sprains are seen on a next available basis.

How do I know if it’s broken?
Usually, you will know immediately if you’ve broken a bone. You may hear a snap or cracking sound. The area around the fracture will be tender and swollen and hot to the touch. A limb may be deformed, or a part of the bone may puncture through the skin.
