Expert Care Open Later,
When You Need It

According to medical experts, the most common recreational injuries are bone and joint-related. One of the most common reasons people visit ERs or urgent care centers is because of sprained joints or broken bones.

The After Hours Clinic at Tucson Orthopaedic Institute is for acute orthopaedic injuries, and is staffed by trained orthopaedic specialists, resulting in lower costs and shorter wait times.

Acute orthopaedic injuries treated at the After Hours Clinic:

  • Strains, sprains, and minor dislocations
  • Breaks and fractures
  • Sports injuries
  • Torn ligaments or tendons
  • Sudden joint injuries
  • Work-related injuries – must bring employer’s claim documentation

Why Choose the Tucson Orthopaedic Institute After Hours Clinic?

Walk-ins are welcome and no appointment is necessary. By treating only orthopaedic injuries, there are shorter wait times compared to the ER or a general urgent care clinic.

In the Tucson Orthopaedic Institute After Hours Clinic, you will be in the hands of a specialty-trained, orthopaedic professional from the moment you enter the examination room.

ERs and urgent care centers are staffed with medical professionals that are trained to treat a variety of medical conditions; from chest pains to headaches, the professionals in emergency care centers have seen it all. While these health care professionals are well trained, they are not orthopaedic specialists and are not equipped to take the place of a specialist.

For the same fee as a specialty office visit, you can avoid the high cost of an ER or urgent care co-pay.

Orthopaedic injuries treated in an emergency room or general urgent care are often sent to a specialist office for follow-up care. This leads to additional co-pays and time waiting for appropriate treatment. Instead, come directly to the Tucson Orthopaedic Institute After Hours Clinic for care particular to your needs.

X-ray imaging and casting/bracing services are available onsite for fast and convenient service.

If follow-up care is required, access to an orthopedic surgeon is fast and easy. Our staff will coordinate an appointment with our providers prior to you leaving our After Hours Clinic. This allows for a continuum of care, starting with your After Hours Clinic visit through follow-up care provided at one of our six clinical locations.
