In response to the COVID-19 virus, Tucson Orthopaedic Institute is taking significant precautions to ensure the safety and health of our patients and our associates. The health, safety and peace of mind of our patients is our top priority. From the beginning of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak, we have been working closely with, and following the updates from, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and other agencies to stay up to date with the latest information.

To help prevent exposure and spread of the virus, we will be pre-screening all patients, employees and visitors prior to entering any of our locations.

If you currently have a fever, cough, shortness of breath, have been exposed to any coronavirus patient in the last 14 days or traveled to a high-risk area, please inform one of our schedulers immediately to reschedule your appointment. If you are currently under post-operative care, please inform the scheduler so the provider can assess your needs.

In addition, to limit the number of people at each location, we ask that ONLY the patient enters the clinic for their scheduled appointment unless it is medically necessary that another individual attend with them.  We are also currently working on a Telehealth option for those unable to come into the clinic and will make that available as soon as possible.

We are asking our patients to wear personal facial protection as we do not have additional masks to distribute. For information from the CDC on how to properly use cloth face coverings, CLICK HERE.
