IT SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR

Title: Information Technology Manager
FSLA: Exempt
Reports To: CFO

Mission:

To provide the residents of our communities the highest quality, state-of-the-art and comprehensive Orthopaedic care.

Main Function:

As a member of the TOI Team, the IT Manager is responsible for working collaboratively with other team members to ensure the safe, timely and accurate delivery of patient care. Maintains all patient confidentiality and HIPAA rules and regulations.  Supports Tucson Orthopaedic Institute’s mission, values, vision, goals and objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage all IT systems related to our operational and headquarters locations.
  • Work with the Chief Operating Officer to determine IT priorities and manage IT activities to expense budget.
  • Continually evaluate current IT processes to identify areas for improvement, additional efficiency, and cost savings
  • Serve as the company’s HIPAA Security Officer
  • Assist with the company’s annual HIPAA security risk assessment.
  • Interface with various IT vendors and partners
  • Monitor and manage daily file transfer processes.
  • Assist with client implementation from an IT perspective.
  • Manage the company’s GSuite 0365
  • Manage daily backup processes.
  • New user / PC setup
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of the company’s IT resources.
  • Maintain the company’s disaster recovery program.
  • Manage the company’s Digium P Phone System
  • Remain current knowledge of IT security best practices.
  • Travel to the various company locations as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
  • At least 10 years of healthcare IT experience in a hospital, vendor, or government agency
  • At least five years serving as the HIPAA Security or Privacy Officer for a similar organization.
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves to work on projects ranging from desktop support to strategic IT planning and implementations.
  • Detailed understanding of Microsoft Windows and related networking issues
  • The ability to operate and make good decisions independently.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Experience with office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), and G Suite 0365

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

  • Expertise with HL7, 837/835 and other healthcare IT standards
  • Experience managing or performing HITRUST and / or SOC audits.
  • Knowledge of Azure, AWS or other cloud services
  • Cybersecurity and other related IT certifications
  • Microsoft .Net programming experience
  • Microsoft SQL Server development and/or administration experience

Mental/Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Working Conditions:

  • Risk of occupational exposure to blood and other potentially infectious materials (OPIM) Possible risk of physical injury due to moving machinery and supplies. This is a safety sensitive position.
